COPA RECEIVES OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AWARD FROM MESS
The MESS Stars of Occupational Safety Awards, one of Turkey's most comprehensive occupational health and safety (OHS) award organizations, have found their winners. COPA won the first prize in the Innovators in Training and Communication category at the MESS Stars of Occupational Safety with its "Tell It Safely - Gamified Training" project.
In the project, carried out with the participation of blue-collar employees at COPA’s factory in Bursa, a game using gamified training techniques was prepared to ensure that COPA employees would both have fun and learn while competing. The game cards, inspired by the game Taboo, included terms frequently used in the workplace and occupational safety definitions. In the game, played in teams of two, team members were asked to describe the keyword to each other within a certain period without using the forbidden words on the card.
With the "Tell It Safely - Gamified Training" project, COPA aimed to increase employees' awareness of teamwork and intra-team communication, ensure that occupational safety definitions remain memorable, and increase participation in occupational safety activities.
